Winston and Mochi Children's Book Design

BRIEF: Self-initiated Children's or Kid's Book Design

RESPONSE: I created the Children's Book Winston and Mochi based on my own pug dogs. I saw that the theme could be continued in a book series. The typefaces I chose, Black Forest and akaFrivolity, as the Header and title of the book text both have shapes reminiscent of pug curly tails so are appropriate for this fun kid's book. The colors chosen are complementary to the pug fawn dogs in this book and creates a relaxing feel for a bedtime story. I also created an activity pdf that parents could download for their kids. This design can be reworked either in landscape or vertical to suit the publishers needs.
