About Me
I create ideas.
Play with technology.
Follow pop culture.
Love working @ the convergence of art, technology and culture.
Fan of bourbon.
Happily calls NYC home.
Currently at The Economist Group Ideas Lab.
My past work includes working as an archivist and gallery assistant, and documenting art exhibitions in NYC. I am big fan of super 8 film and alternative process photography, as well as computer programming and Final Cut Pro. In 2010 I completed my MFA in Digital + Media at the Rhode Island School of Design where I researched existing urban infrastructures and investigated the potential in the individual’s relationship to structures and systems. My work was recognized with the RISD Digital + Media Thesis Award for its integration of practice and scholarship. Questioning how the world is prepared, I push to destabilize prescribed positions and viewpoints. Working with informational systems and urban infrastructures, I seek to make use of them beyond their established capacity. I curated the Digital + Media exhibition, “Beautiful and Barbaric at All Times,” at ArtJail in New York City and taught a course at RISD. Currently I am living in New York, taking hip-hop classes and learning JavaScript.
