A modern update to the tractor seat.
  • Trakktor

  • Inspired by artists such as Achille Castiglioni, Matthias Demacker, and Oskar Zieta, this stool is a modern update of the tractor seat stool. Experimenting with foldability and the idea of creating an "origami-like" sheet metal form, I decided to weld the entire piece instead of having it lasercut.

  • Following the angles of hexagonal primitives, the final piece combines 18 gauge sheet metal with a 5/8in bent rod base. The entire piece was ground and polished, and finished with two coats of clearcoat.
