Three Dimensional Lettermark

This exercise is the first part of a four part project dealing with detailed exploration of typographic characters and positive/negative space. The project called for the design of a lettermark that combines 2 characters into one cohesive lettermark (see here). Then, I was instructed to create a three dimensional version of one lettermark in any way. I first constructed a skeleton out of museum board and then wrapped yellow yarn around it to add color and texture. This piece measures 11 x 18 x 8 inches.
