Description
For our spring semester final, RISD apparel design sophomores were randomly given five yards of a cotton fabric, digitally printed by a RISD textile’s junior or senior. I received this print from Susan Cho, RISD Textiles 2012. Using the print as a source of inspiration I began to dissect the shapes, focusing on right triangles and trapezoids. I drafted and made a series of muslin pieces to develop the leg variation, the final version created by a series of folding and seaming.
