Can a physical construction also be understood as a conceptual idea or theory? Is it possible to draw the thematic space of a holy place and depict the concept of the sacred within the construct of its architecture? Created within St. Stephen's, the Episcopal Church on nearby George Street, these drawings are part of a personal attempt to understand and describe the vast and ancient implications of sacred architecture, while simultaneously addressing the idea of the act of drawing itself as a form of devotion.
