The Beast of the 'Burbs and Self-Important Man were my original ideas for the project. In the beginning the project was aiming for spoof sideshow posters, but that idea was canned and we stuck to a more straight forward sideshow theme for the illustrations. I decided to finish them up after the initial illustrations to make it all feel more complete for me. It's a good feeling when you complete a series of illustrations, like you just ate a hearty meal.
