Description
A series of portraits of members of my family, in exploration both of their characters and a new style of painting with oil. "sculpting with paint"

    Exploring Oil
  •  I made these paintings as part of an exploration of a new style of painting which I have recently discovered. I enjoy sculpting very much, and I realized that I feel the most connection with my paintings when the texture and the direction of the paint itself describes the physical form of what I am painting.

    I chose to depict three members of my family for this series, and explored each of their personalities through variations in colour choices.
