- One Yen Project
The One Yen Project was a project where I systematically spent a pile of one yen coins I had been keeping for about six months. Over the course of one month in early 2010, I brought 10 one yen coins with me and use them throughout the day to make exact change or get larger denomination coins in return whenever possible. I took photographs of the piles at the beginning of the day after taking the coins from the pile and at the end of day after returning the unused coins back into the pile. The project was completed once the pile of one yen coins disappeared.
I created a digital video using all the photographs that were taken during this project. The images are in chronologically order and depicted to gradual disappearing pile of coins.
