A Typographic & Somewhat Animated Experiment

My goal in designing this alphabet was to take something commonplace, the characters of the English language, and distort them into something otherworldly, almost alien. The movement of the characters is based on the physics of flowing cloth, yet the resulting compositions suggest struggling organisms rather than drifting pieces of fabric. Mutant attempts to balance the organic with the synthetic, the temporal with the ethereal, and the grotesque with the beautiful.
