Art is human code. Mine explores a deep connection with nature. I am a visual transcendentalist, translating my passion through photography, paintings, mixed media, and ceramics.
After graduating the Rhode Island School of Design, I moved to New York City to pursue a career of art and commerce. In the business realm, as an inventor and creative executive, I have directed design for Sony, Movado, Kenmore, Craftsman, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and consulted for the Museum of Modern Art.
Art is the yin to my design yang.
The mystery and beauty of our natural world compels me to arrest time through my art. Patterns, light, movement, form, and color are ephemeral as are the moments of our lives. Capturing the magic of the split second, the shifting wind and shadows is an obsession. My work is at times paradoxical: Eastern and Western influences combine, digital and traditional techniques merged, in the spirit of modernity yet reminiscent of a bygone era.
