As an assignment we were given as a group of 4 the task of creating a fashion design company including name, logo, marketing plan, customer profile, designs for two seasons, color stories, fabric, etc. We were very excited about the possibilities of creating a company just using denim fabric, but instead of making jeans, making high-end clothing using high quality denim, which is then hand-manipulated. Through the design process, members of the group took denim and manipulated it to create the denim samples shown thru natural dyes such as blackberries, onion skin and pearl stenciled and silkscreened designs.
