Using boiled leather to create a rigid weight bearing structure for a hidden platform.
  • Boots constructed utilizing boiled leather to create structure for a hidden hollow platform that otherwise would not support the weight of the wearer. Boiled leather has historically been used during the middle ages to
    construct rigged armour and breast plates. Due to the nature of the material, when boiled shrinks, curls, hardens and darkens to create a hard and rigid form.
