CROSSED CHROMES
Alternative Analog Photography
Alternative Analog Photography
I love my old Asahi Pentax Spotmatic. It was the first camera with an integrated exposure meter, though, it´s an old heavy body. And all those brilliant lenses. And the fact that you have to wait a while, before you can see your pictures. And the grain and the contrasts. I can´t find a reason why I ever should give up analog photography.
I´m also searching for second-hand shops in every city I visit...to buy another shitty old Rangefinder Camera. I´m still on a quest to find the one which takes the best pictures for me. Some flash too bright, some not bright enough. Some doesn´t flash at all. Some only deliver blurry pictures and some have the shape of a penguin. But that´s the charmingness about it - you never know what expects you. And while most of the people bring their tiny digital cameras to parties or other events, I always bring one of those shitties plus one extra film roll, minimum. My favourite Rangefinder machine is a 15 year old give-away from Lufthansa with a defect flash that always fires 100%
