WOMEN TO THE FRONT Art Exhibition Catalog

"This exhibition aims to empower conversations about universal themes of gender and equity, in turn allowing us to reflect on the significance of the suffrage movement and discuss ongoing issues that remain today."
Nancy Rivera, Visual Arts Coordinator

The WOMEN TO THE FRONT catalog begins with a vellum overlay that causes the bold text "WOMEN" to fade into the background behind the sub headline that appears on the cover. In doing this it emphasizes the historic inequalities women have faced through out history. As the page turns, "WOMEN" boldly stands alone on the following spread.

The interior layout design uses a grid system that allows the images and text to break typical text and image alignment as a reflection of the artists working in themes of struggles and breaking gender barriers.

This catalog is a comprehensive collection of the art displayed in the exhibition along with the artists' statements, and credits to the state departments involved in the production of the exhibition.

In addition to the catalog, advertising materials accompanied the campaign:
• Social Media Graphics
• Web site landing page graphics
• Postcards
• Magazine print ads
