Design For Industry - Lush Brief
This foldable travel hairbrush has an additional storage compartment, is pocket sized and completely waterproof, it is also resistant to chemicals in hair care products and natural body oils. It adheres to Lush’s current branding and ethics using the same colour scheme, featuring their logo and being made from 100% of their black recycled polypropylene. The design is aesthetically pleasing and complies with current safety regulations. From user testing the hairbrush is comfortable to use and operate. It is also space conserving with the additional storage compartment. The product will have a long life as it is made from 100% durable polypropylene after which it can be recycled and made into new products which fits in with Lush’s brand values of minimal and naked packaging.
A low fidelity prototype was produce to show the size, shape and functionality of the product. With built in storage located underneath the bristles of the hairbrush.
