I decided to do this project because I wanted to get rid of the children's fear of chemotherapy and encourage them. The world is an aging, long-lived society, but life is not necessarily a probability. In the children's ward, there are children who stand at the crossroads of life and death as soon as they are born or at a very young age.
It's a pain of life that came so quickly, but I wanted to create a humorous element even if it was trivial in the trials of sick children and their families. The product that I designed is for children and children's respirators. The name of the product is 'My friend,' and I made it with the hope that it will be remembered as a fun and enjoyable place rather than just a hospital image that is too scary and scary for children. In this project, I tried to find the answer to the question of how we can help and comfort children who are fighting the disease through the changes in the space in the ward and the medical devices that contact the children.
Rather than customized services tailored to the patient's characteristics, I hope it will be operated as a caring and warm system that is friendly and tailored to children's eye level.
At the same time that it helps children not to feel the fear, fear, and sadness that comes from long hospital life or brief hospitalization, caregivers can be more comfortable and expect the effect of patient children being treated and recovering quickly with a bright and peaceful mind
