In a single moment, the space is unique but also becomes active with all the stories that have existed over the stretch of time. Having collected memories of people and their dialogues with each other, the space radiates nostalgia and vibrancy at the same time.
This artwork for this piece was both made digitally and by hand. The photographs in this piece have been taken by me on my trip to my ancestral village.The overlaying grid was hand painted and then scanned in to superimpose on the collage. There are small areas printed with plastisol mixed with metallic powder to add surprising areas of tactility within the piece.
