'Paramount' means of supreme importance, signifying the strong opinion of the rules and criteria of a good design by Massimo Vignelli's 'The Vignelli Canon', which this typographic journal's content and design is based on.
The main theme and context of this journal that was pulled out from The Vignelli's Canon is Semantics, Syntactics, and Pragmatics, which places an importance on simple, consistent and meaningful design. This concept will be illustrated throughout this publication by emphasising consistency, sticking to a grid layout, and utilising only 3 colours: red, black and white.
However, there will be a rebellious, expressive spread in the middle to contradict the context of the publication as required by the project guides.
