absolutely LOVED transforming this house. With the unique hand painted wall treatments to work with and the owners furniture some of which had sentimental memories for her we were able to introduce her favorite colour aubergine with accents of sage into an environment that has been predominantly beige for the seven years that the client has lived there. The previous owner had left instructions on how the home should be decorated and my client had feel like a visitor in her own home. The family room was painted in a wonderful spring green with a cherry red accent wall and the kitchen walls were painted a rich ruby purple. New lighting fixtures from the store, drapes and cushions makes the clients feel that they have traveled to Venice and Morocco. The most interesting thing was that even her husband became involved in the project and became excited with the changes! The best part of this job is that I have gained a lifelong friendship with the owner.
I used Sherwin Williams Edgy Gold as the main colour in this room. I found the perfect sari that I had made into a tapestry wall hanging and a throw. The lighting fixtures were also custom made.
This chair came from my selection of vintage chairs that was redone in a plum cut velvet an orange magenta and plum pailsey fabric and an orange Designer's Guild chenille. I used PPG Chilled Wine in the kitchen, with some fabulous scones I found at one of my favorite shops Douglas Poole
The family room has an accent wall of PPG Maderia Red and features one of my original paintings. My paintings reflect my style in interior design, whimsical and imaginative. Are you in the painting or in the room?  The lines between fantasy and reality are blurred.
Custom made drapes and lampshades with the colours of  Morrocco transport you to another place.
We found this beautiful set of perfume bottles at one of my many favorite antique stores
