INTERACTIVE DESIGN ON PRINT

Before the Internet was found one read newspapers and books when one wanted to relax and get information about things that had happened. It was largely passive media with one-way communication. Today when we press a link or a picture on the web, we expect something to happen. We expect to be able to interact with the program.

Books can also be viewed as interactive, not digital but physical. It applies not only to books such as pop-up books, but also ordinary books. Table of contents, page numbers and footnotes can be compared to menus, navigation and links of a digital design.

Tangible is an interactive visual arts magazine that draws parallels from interactive design online. It is a physical magazine that allows readers to "look" and interact with the magazine to get all the information.

The magazine is french folded.
