Kid Princess is a forest-dwelling wild child who believes that she's royalty. She lives with a 3000 year-old magical toad named Edgar, whose senile condition often renders him forgetful and oblivious. Having to generally entertain herself, Kid is often inspired to explore the world she lives in as she reads the Book of Legendary Tales, (AKA, the BLT) which describes the adventures of a young princess who saves the people in the kingdom after the mysterious disappearance of her parents. Placing herself in the shoes of this fictional princess, she sets out to be the benevolent and heroic leader she feels destined to be, and find belonging in a world where she doesn't always fit in.
This project was an exploration in the process of creating a TV show for girls ages 7-9, and served as my senior capstone for Brigham Young University.
