The project proposed is a resort project that is designed to accommodate the Batukaras' tourists. This resort is a villa-type beach resort lays on a site of about 30,000 m2 on the Coast of Batukaras Beach, West Java. This resort lays on grassy soil, which has a flat-covered contour and is predominantly covered by coconut trees. This resort accommodates 25 units with three different types of villas and other recreational functions such as restaurants, beach bars, swimming pools, spa, and gathering rooms.

This building design takes the concept of Experiencing Batukaras. The contextual approach is emphasized in the concept - in the response of the fact that unique characteristics of Batukaras area is the main attraction of tourists to Batukaras. Natural nuances and the social characteristics of community as a fishing village are choosen as the design framework. Through strong Batukaras characters, tourists can enjoy a vacation with full experience from the context of the location and accommodations that can be experienced only in Batukaras.

Natural nuances are being realized by organic-form of site composing and the nature-interaction buildings. The architectural space is organized mostly with open layouts. The structure and access are designed with various elevation to get uniqueness in the process of interaction with nature. The use of natural materials around provides natural nuances in every space proposed. The roof of each building composed into fishing boats-shaped, becoming semiotic to the Fisherman Village. The intimate of the Batu Karas community is being realized by creating communal space in every cluster of the villa.
