CHUAN Stool
The shape of the seating surface is based on an equilateral triangle, to which the cutting and chamfering are made for milder figures. The individual stools can also be randomly combined with each other to make a bench or a sofa to the user’s demand. As the seating surface is made of bamboo boards with discrepant textures, the stools spliced will make a lovely view resembling the crisscrossed bamboo leaves.
The legs of the stool are designed with lines and curves, constructing a Chinese character “川” (“rivers”), which gives it the Chinese name “川凳” (“Rivers Stool”). Mortised to the seating surface, the three stool legs are interlocked with each other to build an assuredly stable triangle structure.

坐面的造型是以等边三角形为基本形态，在此基础上进行变化，将锋利的尖角进行切割和倒角处理，使其造型更加温和。此外，可以将几个凳子的长边与短边随意组合，根据使用者的需求变成长椅或者沙发桌。坐面的材质为竹板，而且每个竹板的纹理走向都不尽相同，因此，当多张凳子拼接在一起时宛如竹叶交错。
凳子腿的造型是由直线与曲线相结合，从侧面看凳子的造型与汉字“川”十分相似，因此取名为“川凳”。同时，三条凳子腿由榫卯结构将其固定到坐面，从凳子底部看，三条凳腿相互咬合在一起，不仅造型上呼应“三角形”的主题，而且结构上也更加稳定。
