I planned to make a fold out map which consists of 2 big pages, each page 8 mini-pages in total 16 mini pages. As my work is going to be a map, so I need to have some continuity between pages and cannot make those 16 pages like really individual and separated. My work is kind of a mixture between a map and a leaflet because map doesn’t have that lots of information or texts but leaflet does. So my work will be a mixture of map design and leaflet design. i plan to use the original theme colour the centre is using which is dark red, orange and green. I feel like light yellowish skin colour will be a really nice with those three colours so I kind of re-branded the brand and add my own personal colours and style in it. In terms of the style of presenting it, I plan to us a very illustrative way to present it because it is a nature park and base on my research they have lots of activities of kids. So one of their target audience is children. I think using colourful illustration will be nice to their target audience and thus it is also better when presenting maps. I also want to add in textures and strokes to make the illustrations less boring and it will be better when it’s being printed in reality. If I could really print this out large, i will print it on an A2 sized draft-rough paper because I want to create textures like a treasure map but not just a plain leaflet. i feel like using rough papers will also match the feel of a nature centre.
