Stains of the Mundane

Imagine walking into class with a coffee stain on your sleeve or giving a speech with a souvenir from your lunch still hanging onto your pants. I personally had to endure these and many more similar incidents in which my clumsiness had the best of me. Everyday we navigate the world disregarding most of the particles and elements we are exposed to, all the while forcing our bodies and outfits to withstand the consequences of our decisions. These accidental stains on our clothes can vary in shape, size, color and opacity and take on the role of companions that reflect certain aspects of our lifestyles. This project was about cataloging the food stains that might hang on our clothes and visually translating them into a collection of symbols.
