I must reclaim what is covered in memories of bliss
Bliss that now upon recollection only draws up wells of salty waters
I must face the once unfathomable
Memories that did not realize their power whilst being made
The colors of this day's particular memory is one of blues, greens, oranges and greys.
I couldn't let this place hold only one memory
A memory now painful to touch
So I walked alone and caressed my own cheek
Responsibility to change my associations from sadness to peace
This is where I begin
As I walked through the same path taken before
I mourned
Yet as I walked the wind and trees and air around me joined
Wind blowing through leaves echoed my cries
Soft breeze upon my skin held me close
Not so alone in this walk
Surrounded by ground used to tears
It was not afraid of mine
So I wept upon it
Wind strengthened
And grew to roar as it gripped me in its tight embrace
A sad solace washed across

I rewrote what was written here
Clinging to both pain and peace and pouring it into each step
This grass in particular haunted me
So I placed new imprints upon it and erased previous marks
The marks made upon my heart remain
But I made a solid attempt
Paths once trodden with ones I love most
Now walked alone
Yet not alone
I have the wind to hold me now
