Mary Poppins is a series of eight children's books written by Australian-British writer P. L. Travers. I illustrated three spreads of the book for an art agency competition.

 

The story was set around the Edwardian era and it was challenging to bring the beauty and aesthetics of that era. The main characteristics to keep in mind were the lighter colour and less complex patterns of this era compared to Victorian era and the patterns were less complex and inspired by flowers and elements from nature.
