BÁNH MÌ ÚT (Vietnamese Cuisine)

With and increased numbers of Vietnamese now coming to live & work in Malaysia & Singapore, the availability of tasty, authentic Vietnamese food, especially in places which cater to the large & growing Vietnamese diaspora here in Penang - students, professionals, etc. - has increased significantly.

One of the more popular Vietnamese dining spots in George Town is BÁNH MÌ ÚT previously known as Quê Hương Tôi, is a popular dining spot for Penang’s Vietnamese community, and is located in the working-class neighbourhood as well as shopping complex of Jelutong.

Even though Pho is one of the most famous and known Vietnamese delicacies but BÁNH MÌ is equally popular as well. BÁNH MÌ ÚT is a place that pays respect to the Vietnamese Sandwiches, the menu is Banh Mi-focused... alongside with some Vietnamese classics like Spring Rolls, Barbecued Pork Noodles/ Rice and sweet treats etc. The Vietnamese element is bold here... the kitchen is manned by a Vietnamese lady namely the wife of owner and the place carries shades of casual Vietnamese eatery.

As the Malaysian-Vietnamese family decide to opened a third eatery, also called BÁNH MÌ ÚT in Queensbay Mall to the south of the Penang Island. Thus, I was in charge of most of their restaurant design. For such showcase a set of collateral materials, wallpaper & etc. for them.
