As air pollution in urban China is on the rise, Philips saw an opportunity to leverage its expertise as a leading manufacturer in air purification products to enter a new market.
We collaborated with the Philips team in Shanghai to implement their air purification technology in an anti-pollution mask, creating an entirely new market opportunity. Our objective was to establish a design language for the Air Mask that balances the needs of the modern Chinese consumer with the purity and performance of the Philips brand.
The Fresh Air module gently cycles air out of the mask, maintaining the desired level of temperature and humidity. The airflow significantly reduces perspiration and redness from routine use, which is a common complaint of existing anti-pollution masks.
