This was a non-profit project for a philanthropub called Cause. They wanted a large light bulb sculpture that would be mounted on the outside of the restaurant. I made some initial sketches of what I had in mind and they liked the idea. The project took about two months to construct. The light bulb was made of mostly plexiglass, wood and metal. One hundred LED modules were soldered together and placed throughout the wood joints to illuminate the plexiglass. The color of light could be changed with a remote. The project was a great experience but unfortunately Cause has recently closed.
