Gender Neutrality

Gender Neutrality
I looked at gender in terms of what it is perceived as in Indian society. We have created very specific shapes for how to look at gender and in the midst of that we forget that those individuals are just people trying to figure out life. These boxes or stereotypes of people judging them or passing comments is what I’d like to aim at and would like people to be treated equally irrespective of gender.
In the artwork, an eye is covered depicting how society blinds itself from seeing reality. The shapes are organic forms that are personal to each person but is blocking in some way or the other. The colour represent neutrality and how colour shouldn’t be a base of gender. The expression of the individuals is that of society that is judging and commentary. There have been dialogues used in a way to make the art seem a little lighter yet putting the message across.
