STAND - O - FISH
Metal casting is a process that allows development of fluid forms that can last a lifetime. Thus, I chose to work with nature as inspiration, jellyfish in particular. Their organic, fluid structure and body movement interested me. By developing a product rooting from the jellyfish, I wanted to explore the opposites of dynamic and static with reference to the dynamic flow of their body and freezing the same movement into a static object by casting in metal.
A main factor I wanted to maintain is to not have any straight lines as I believe there are no straight lines in nature.
