This project was inspired by the type foundry, Emigre. Being one of the heads of experimental typography and the creation of fonts, I tried to make my movie reflect their style while still being extremely legible and readable. The idea for the video came from the equation "Zuzana Licko + Rudy VanderLans + Macintosh Computer = Emigre" These three components are what made Emigre what it is today. I used motion to keep interest in the piece. Following words and images around the screen makes it engaging. The music aimed to reflect Emigre in its beginnings in the 1980's. This is my first experience with After Effects.
