Inheritance
Inheritance is based on a genetic condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa, which affects my family. it deteriorates people's eyesight, eventually causing blindness due to a fault in the retina. My great grandfather was blind, and my grandmother has lost almost all of her eyesight due to it. There is a chance the condition may affect me, and so this project has helped me to understand my fear surrounding this.
The series looks at how the condition has affected my family, but specifically my grandmother and how she copes with the eye condition. It focuses on her home, and how this is the only place where it doesn't matter if she can fully see or not, as she knows where everything is.
