The monstrous houses are a series of works that embody the metamorphosis of a space that has been relegated to abandonment. The architecture of the houses takes on a new life corroded by the passage of time and fused with the surrounding nature that colonizes their surfaces. The monstrous houses rebel against their settlement status and become space nomads who guard everything that their inhabitants once wanted to leave behind. Within the monstrous houses reside the fears of their former owners, the unloved, the obsolete; Through the work the transmuted houses bring back the unprocessed to the viewer; they call it the confrontation of the monstrous that is no longer hidden in a closet but there where he lived before, where he believed that life had been extinct forever, but now that life returns, terrifyingly organic with the gloomy but indelible trace of Chinese ink that extends the life of the house beyond its functionalist margins. The metaphor of the forgotten as the monstrous, deeply permeates the viewer when he imagines that his childhood home could well be a monstrous house that is still scary today.
