Dark Fairy Tale
An illustration for a spread chapter opener. The story was a dark fairytale about a swamp monster disguising himself as a human to acquire a human bride. It wasn’t until they were married that the deception was revealed but by then it was too late and the monster had kidnapped his bride and taken her to his swamp kingdom.
This was a miniature piece, barely 4 by 7 inches and the first time I was using mixed media with Acryla gouache on Strathmore Mixed Media sample papers I had lying around.
