An-225 Mriya - the largest aircraft in the world
An-225 Mriya, a truly legendary aircraft, is the heaviest load-lifting aircraft of all ever raised in the air. Its maximum take-off weight is 640 tons, its length is 84 meters, and its height is 18 meters (like a six-story house with four entrances). This plane is made in a single copy. The corporate publishing house Gelio Vostok made reporting and corporate photography for Antonov Airlines.
The An-225 aircraft carried cargo from Zurich to Bahrain with stops in Athens and Cairo for fuel. In the corporate photography for Antonov Airlines, we showed the loading of a huge turbine rotor, turbogenerator, and other components. The total cargo weight was 170 tons. The industrial photographer from Gelio Vostok took photos of all stages of aircraft maintenance, starting from its landing and loading. During the flight, we took photos of the crew’s work, refueling, and work processes and showed in detail the maintenance of a huge aircraft. Beautiful large-scale photos show how difficult and responsible it is to pilot such a large aircraft.
The project resulted in a large bank of high-quality photographs for Antonov Airlines. Based on the photographs taken, Gelio Vostok published a laconic, interesting and entertaining report on their work with the legendary aircraft.
