This project was created with the thought of what the future of fashion will look like. Inspired by Las Vegas and temporary pleasures with instant gratification, this concept board reflects what the future of fast fashion will lead to. Our earth cannot sustain the level of consumption and disposal that is currently happening, and something drastic needs to disrupt this fashion industry to change our current future. This concept board paints an image of our fast rates of consumption and disposal not being sustainable by our landfills, which will ultimately lead to the downfall and disruption of our cities and natural land. This collection focuses on using sustainable textiles and transformation fashion to reverse the path we are on. Creating garments from recycled materials will help reduce the waste ending up in our landfills, as well as create a closed circle of using and reusing - without disposal. Transformation fashion also plays a key role in the future of sustainability as it allows the consumer to have the versatility of a large wardrobe, with the environmental impact of a small one. Sustainable fashion does not have to mean simple fashion and transformation garments help give a small impact with a big statement.
