"How To Be in a Coma" is a piece I created for the 2020 Brown|RISD Dual Degree Exhibition. I wrote a poem about my experience into an induced coma and turned it into an abstract comic that I printed using a risograph machine and displayed in the gallery in a 4x4 grid. By utilizing a ghost-like character to represent me, I took my own experiences and made them universal: everyone can project upon the character I created, and perhaps reflect upon their own times of hardship and illness.
