Civic Center - a copied commander
Infographic aiming to illustrate the architectural language of the Civic Center. The area oozes authority; omnipresent elements of past successes surround the area, structures/facades erected to resemble commanding edifices. The buildings represent splendor via fragmented bits and pieces of copied and appropriated ideas, many of them rapidly developed and realized after the earthquake that shook the century. With my infographic and logo, I want to inform the idea of a copy, a duplicate, or even a copy of a copy. The photocopied dome both references and gives praise to its forefathers, its inheritance is made visible via a family tree of domes.
