I chose to work with this poster, "Join the air service," from the collection of Allied Posters of World War I. When looking for an image to work with, I was really drawn to this image because of all the elements I could activate. I wanted to bring all of the planes to life while also rotating the star. I chose to rotate some of the planes to mimic the motion of the star, while also moving some off of the page. For the plane positioned on the ground, I added smoke to signify it was about to take off.
