傳統中式座椅，隨著四季有不同的樣貌，現代人選擇家具多以西式家具為主，家中已經很少見到早期中式家具的身影，中式座椅的工藝線條儘管涵蓋歷史演化變遷的故事，並擁有中國文化的特色和延續價值，但仍不敵西式座椅簡約的造型和製造工法。
以中式文化為基礎和意象，擷取西式的科學和技術，讓現代家具擁有中西的情理結合。改變傳統家具和座墊的造型與接合方式，讓座椅本身和座墊有新型態的結合，更能符合現代生活型態的需求。
Traditional Chinese seats look different from the four seasons. Nowadays, people who want to buy furniture usually choose a western-style for their decision instead of the Chinese one. Although there are traditional art stripes which can represent Chinese history and culture in Chinese chair, the simple style and art craft of western chair obviously gain more favor in people’s eyes.
Designing of modern furniture which based on Chinese culture and spirit while deriving knowledge and art craft from western culture can combine both advantages of west and east. Changing the shape and the joining method of traditional furniture and seat cushion, so that the seat and the seat cushion have a new combination. Thus, it is more in line with the needs of a modern lifestyle.
