The Kettle is a daily object used by almost everyone nowadays, however users don’t pay attention to its environmental impacts and how it is affecting our world in an indirect way. That is because it is a heating element that uses and abuses large quantities of energy, which can be exploited in another useful applications.

The aim of this project is to create a kettle that exploits solar energy, a renewable source of energy, to heat 1L of water in 10 min.
The result is a solar parabolic dish used in camping trips, foldable, using the solar energy to heat and made out of ecological materials. Instead of mirrors, rPET fabric with a reflective tendency is used to reflect the solar energy to the focal point.

The dimensions of the stand showed above are compact according to the size of the parabolic dish, which is 1m2. At the end of boiling, the parabolic structure of tubes must release the air and the parabolic dish, as it is made of fabric, can be folded and stored in the stand where space is available, along with led of the cup and rotation axis.
When the parabolic is closed, the package can be hanged to the camping bag, put in it or hanged to the belt of the camper during the trip.
