Introduction / Task Information.
This is the second project assigned by our lecturer on 2nd April 2020. The assignment is about Character Rigging, under the module CC2222, Motion Graphic Design. It is an individual project and it must be submitted at the 22nd of April as a softcopy material by midnight.

For starters, Rigging is a technique used as a skeleton in animation and 3d modeling industry. Using a series of connected digital bones, it represent the skeleton structure to allow the object to be animated freely. Its commonly used to make character animation especially for games and movie purposes.

In character rigging, the character are process by adding bones provided for a certain movement in the animation. These bones and joint are an essential needed to form a motion in movement later on. Without these essentials, a character on its own can’t be animated
Description of what you are doing.
Before doing the design process I note down some of the idea first. Previsualization process is one of the crucial methods. It helps to Analyze and boost up performance during the design process rather than not having any idea on how to start a project. For this Assignment, all I need to prepare is the Analysis of the character.
From here I can start creating visual diary. The visual diary will help in visualizing how the movie will look like.  There is always chances of modification and amendment during shooting / design process.
I conducted research on how the globe would look like. I then gather all the resources and start creating my own version of the globe. Below is the sample of the image references to be illustrated.
How it was done.
Here are the some of the tools and technique used while doing the design process.

POSITION Makes certain movements at the specific area such as the object moving upward, downward, left or side and sideways.

SCALE – Make Changes to the size of an object to certain width and height

OPACITY – Reduce the visibility of an object to a certain transparency.

MOTION BLUR – Actually a Tool , not an effect. By a press of a button, it enhances the speed of the movement like it’s in a shutter speed duration. It can be optionally applied to make the object flows into a realistic movement.

KEYFRAMES A element panel where it shows the specific checkpoint of an animation. Each checkpoint keeps a different data. Any checkpoint after the previous keyframe can either be gaining more data or reduced depends on the editing process. The keyframe must be set so the object can interact with the next changes. Once the keyframes has been setup, It needs to be set to Ease so the animation would not look so static.  It can be done inside the Animation Panel.

ANIMATION PANEL – A panel where it shows the speed graph of an animation. A line of movement can be seen once a keyframe has been set. Here I can customize the range speed of the objects into a more fluid movement.

TYPE TOOL – A tool for creating text while animating the object. The text are customizable as it can be scaled, tracked, lead, change typeface, fonts and color, and aligned to grid.

PARENTING – A follow through technique, where an object act as a child and another object act as a parent. The child will follow any sorts of movement of the parent.

CAMERA LENS BLUR Blurs an object in a certain amount of blurriness similar to a DSLR style of lens focus.

HUE / SATURATION – A tool used in any media editing platform to tweak out the vibrance of a color of an object .

ALPHA MATTE – use the alpha channel of the layer above as a mask for the layer below

BULGE – distorts an image around specified point, making the image appear to bulge toward or away from viewing angle.

SLIDER CONTROL –a great way to set a value from 0 to 100 or more by changing it expression value.

TYPEWRITER – creating a realistic typewriting motion effects onto the static text.

GLITCH – creating a virtual distortion on the text to enhance the glitching animation of the word.

CHARACTER VALUE – setting a new Unicode value for selected characters, replacing each character from null with one character represented.
