Over 180,000 people from all over South Africa and all walks of life visit the Absa KKNK festival in Oudtshoorn every year. Absa have been a long time sponsor of the 9 day event and pride themselves on its year on year increase in popularity.

This year Absa Vehicle Finance needed a way to demonstrate their product offering in an engaging way that also fit with the overall feel of the festival.
The activation had to be fun, relevant to vehicle finance and the KKNK and show Absa as an innovative brand.

We decided to create an interactive Photo Booth installation where photos taken in the booth uploaded instantly to the Absa Facebook page as well as emailed to the user.

The installation was loaded with technological advancements such as:
• Real time chroma key to display the visitors in their chosen scene instantly
• Gesture control allowing visitors to use their hands to change the background scene
• Facial detection for tagging multiple visits in single photo
• RFID allowing registered visitors a simple tap and tag experience when taking their photo
• In email vehicle instalment calculations relevant to the vehicle in the background
