Puppetry is ideal for children, especially if the child refuses to talk to the counsellor.  In this setting both the client and the counsellor would make a puppet and in this instance their favourite animal. During the process of the making of the puppets the client would start to feel more comfortable.  Then the counsellor would use the puppet and a unique voice to speak to the child.  This would evoke some level of excitement and would encourage a more effective form of communication.
