Book cover designed for an upcoming autobiographical novel called "My Comeback Trail" by the author Manish Kumar who debuted with the bestselling novel that goes by the name "Be Your Own Pilot". 

Before designing the book cover, I had the opportunity of reading the book which helped me understand and empathize with the character. Through the course of the novel, I grew very fond of some particular traits of the author which were his courage, strength, straightforwardness and the will to fight back no matter what. This helped me immensely to connect to the novel well and recognize what should the cover reflect.

One major personality trait of the author was that he was never afraid to raise a voice or put forward his most honest opinions even if it was conflicting with his seniors and colleagues. I wanted to depict this on the cover and thus, within the trail of the aircraft, there is the silhouette of a screaming man in the negative space which highlights this. 

The font used are bold and sans serif which portray strength. The major color used in this is red, which is color of power and courage. In addition to this, it is a very eye-catching color which would attract purchaser’s eye, which may prompt them to pick up the book to read its description among others.
