Inspired by Kim Jongdae's (member of kpop group EXO) stage name, "morning star", the design imitates the flower known as the star of bethlehem. The flower has a meaning of hope and happiness. The design itself was inspired by korean traditional patterns. Jongdae, as a soloist, exudes nothing but simplicity, tradition, and purity (through his urge to express his feelings clearly through his voice).
To make the design come full circle: the Star of Bethlehem is usually considered to be the planet Venus, which is known to be the morning star.
