In this collaboration between myself and furniture designer, Ellie Wen, I developed a pattern and screenprinted upholstery fabric based on her conceptual focus for her chair design. The inspiration is drawn from her original direction of a fashion oriented feminine print that incorporated an element of lace. Together, we determined the final scale through a digital rendering and the final colorway and fabric through sampling. This was an eight week long collaboration and the chair received honorable mention at the 7th Annual Chair Design Competition at Appalachian State University.
